Refund Policy

This policy explains how Campus Swap handles refund requests from buyers and payout adjustments for sellers. By using the Campus Swap platform you agree to the terms below.
Buyer Purchases — General Policy
All sales through Campus Swap are of used items sold as-is. Because items are pre-owned and inspected in person at our retail location, all purchases are generally final. We encourage buyers to inspect items before completing a purchase.
When Refunds May Be Granted
We will consider a refund request in the following circumstances:
- The item received is significantly different from its description or listing photos (e.g., undisclosed major damage).
- The item is confirmed missing or lost after purchase but before pickup by the buyer.
- A billing error occurs resulting in a duplicate charge.
Refunds are not granted for minor cosmetic differences typical of used items, buyer's remorse, or items the buyer has already taken possession of.
How to Request a Refund
Contact us at team@usecampusswap.com within 7 days of purchase with your order details and a description of the issue. Include photos if the issue is related to item condition. We review all requests on a case-by-case basis and will respond within 3 business days.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via Stripe. Processing typically takes 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer. Campus Swap does not issue cash refunds.
Seller Payouts
Seller payouts are sent after an item sells and the buyer pickup window has passed. If a buyer receives a refund for an item that has already been paid out to a seller, Campus Swap reserves the right to adjust future payouts accordingly. Sellers are responsible for accurately describing their items; items returned due to material misdescription may result in a payout reversal.
Items Not Picked Up by Buyer
Items not picked up by the buyer within the designated window may be relisted at Campus Swap's discretion. If an item is relisted, the original buyer is not entitled to a refund unless the purchase is otherwise eligible under this policy.
